Daily Fashion Show: Show Me the Glitz

Today's ensemble concentrated on none other than glitz. I've worn this skirt a few times now and decided this time, I'd bring out the shine in it.

The little strip of lurex running through the skirt was brought out by shiny bracelets and my stone splattered tunic. The browns I wore throughout somehow seemed to soften when I paired them with shiny coppers and lavender.

Also, you can't forget about the shoes! I also highlighted a little more glitz with my bronze sequin heels. Originally bought for a wedding, these pumps helped pump up the ensemble completely from head to toe.

Overall, I felt a little boho and a little feminine today but one thing is for sure, I definitely shined!

Hit List: Peachy Keen

While we're all sitting here waiting for the summer to come, or hey, spring for that matter, I couldn't help but notice the presence of orange this week. A few months ago, I mentioned corals, but this time around, I found these amazing, soft peach tones. Some I found were in really unique items such as the adorable shower cap and apron, while others were in unexpected things such as the trench and a faux suede pump. The influx of peach in these two pieces give us a new neutral to play with. If only it we were warm enough to eat peaches....for now, I'll settle with my yogurt and gushing for these beautiful pieces.

1. Peach Polka Dot Dress- Dorothy Perkins £32
2. Peach Trench- Topshop $180
3. Peach Oxford- Modcloth $104.99
4. Peach Suede Pump- Debenhams £80
5. Shower Cap- Ruche $23.99
6. Cupcake Apron- Anthropologie $32

Daily Fashion Show: Pintastic

Well, the weather fooled us all in Chicago and it cold again, but that doesn't mean that your wardrobe needs to suffer. I still busted out my florals, even though the thermometer read sweaters.

To bring in even more color, I tied a butterfly printed scarf on my handbag. I also gave my ensemble a vintage nod with a pin I picked up from a thrift store.

This pin is simply gorgeous. It sparkles just like any girly girl wants and has the most perfect hand-painted petals I've ever seen.

So there Chicago, I don't care that can't make up your mind. I'm wearing only spring stuff going forward, I don't care!

Daily Fashion Show: Bring in the Spring

True to my girly roots, I decided to bust out some bright pink socks today and pair it up with pink colored jewelry to bring in the spring.

I absolutely love the floral print of this dress. It's so fresh and springy and looks great with my pink socks.

The pink jewelry really helped tie everything together. I paired my super chunky "rock candy" necklace and a fabric flower ring. Candy and flowers, perfect for a girly girl!

Hope you all had a wonderful start to the week and get to enjoy the warmer weather!

Daily Fashion Show: Pretty Hippie

Today I did hippie my way, with vintage-inspired colors, an adorable flower clip, flares, and cowboy-esque booties.

I was never really one for muted browns and oranges, so why not spice it up with seafoam green? It's springy and refreshing! And what's even better is that I found a clip to match. I also sported a few vintage jewelry pieces to give me some sparkle.

I've always really loved flared jeans and am super pumped they are coming back. They just make your legs look great and aren't as limiting like skinny jeans. I also really like the cowboy boot look, but these booties really are great and a subtle way to wear this trend.

Last, I wore this amazing top as a crop today. It has an elastic band waist so you can pull it up or down depending on how you want to wear it. I thought it was a great way to get into that 70's look while still staying true to my vintage girl roots.

Weekly Secret Weapon: How to Wear Cropped Pants

To celebrate the warmth we've been getting in Chicago, I decided to kick it off this week by wearing some cropped pants. I love them, but always have a hard time finding things to wear with them. Solution? Ankle socks!

The addition of ankle socks really helped with this ensemble. I think I've always been freaked out about the pants. They are very cute and flattering, but something always holds me back. I think I just got the confidence I needed though with the socks. They somehow made me feel as though I wasn't wearing crops, plus, they were super cute and added great texture.

Anklets also look great with a dress and open toed shoes. Perfect for weather that isn't dependable. Give it a try!

Daily Fashion Show: Rocker Chic

I seriously rocked this Monday. It was rough but I made it through. And honestly, I don't think I could have done it without my leather jacket and bright red lips!

I've never really been into lipstick, but when I got a giftcard from MAC and saw the amazing Wonder Woman collection, I just had to give in and give it a try.

My shoes seriously made the ensemble. These really do rock. They are stilettos and wedges, with a shiny spike heel. Plus, they are black and bronze so they are extremely versatile.

Hope you all had a rockin' Monday (and love my new curtains!).

Daily Fashion Show: Babydoll

So my man told me I looked like a doll today. I think he meant the toy, not in a terms of endearment way, but nevertheless, I sported around in my bobby socks and mary jane's like I was back in elementary school.

I thought the combo was fun today, lots of florals and texture, especially the contrast between my super fuzzy sweater and my smooth and shiny silk dress.

Close up of the bobby socks. Now all I really need is a pair of saddle shoes and I really am back in elementary school. But what's wrong with that? I was an ultra-girly girl then, and still am!

Last but not least, I paired my skinny stretch belt with a golden rose closure with the ensemble today for one last touch. Overall, I do say that I looked like doll...you know what I mean!
