Hit List: Tea Party

I was inspired browsing the Internet today by none other than my old American Girl doll, Samantha Parkington. She was seriously the perfect doll for me, vintage, loves pink and flowers, and grew up in the coolest era, the 20's. Once I settled on this, I found so many beautiful pieces out there that were simply perfect. My favorites include the apron from Anthropologie and the dress and shoes from Modcloth. Hope you all like tea, cause your invited to my party this week!

Weekly Secret Weapon: Convertibility

You all know how I love to re-invent things and make the most out of an outfit. Well, today's Secret Weapon is just about this.

Found an amazing shirt while in Hong Kong and had to share it with you all. This is totally something you can re-create though if you don't happen to make it to the Hong Kong airport anytime soon.

The cool thing about this top is that there are buttons and button holes all along the seams so that you can create a bunch of different looks. I love the vest option, buttoning at the top and draping over my arms. You can also wear it as a poncho this way as well.

Some other options are a reverse poncho, buttoning in the back. You can also wrap around your neck like a scarf. So many options and possibilities.

Here is the top in a lay down shot. Buttons are on opposite sides as well as button holes. I think this is key in making all of the different looks as well. Hope you all enjoyed and are inspired to sew on some buttons and play around!

Daily Fashion Show: Show Me the Glitz

Today's ensemble concentrated on none other than glitz. I've worn this skirt a few times now and decided this time, I'd bring out the shine in it.

The little strip of lurex running through the skirt was brought out by shiny bracelets and my stone splattered tunic. The browns I wore throughout somehow seemed to soften when I paired them with shiny coppers and lavender.

Also, you can't forget about the shoes! I also highlighted a little more glitz with my bronze sequin heels. Originally bought for a wedding, these pumps helped pump up the ensemble completely from head to toe.

Overall, I felt a little boho and a little feminine today but one thing is for sure, I definitely shined!
