This month's Mag Challenge goes out to the August issue of Lucky! This challenge was surprisingly difficult actually, as I do not have any polka dots in my wardrobe at all! How did that happen?? What I was attracted to most about this trend was it's contrasting styles, inspired by Britain's VJ Fearne Cotton.
The ensemble on Fearne is sweet dots (or spots as the Brits say) toughened up by leather and tough sparkles.
For my sweet pieces, I thought my petal skirt from Modcloth was a great substitute for polka dots. I also borrowed a chiffon wire wrap headband from work to complete the look.
My tough pieces include the patent leather stretch belt and my leather Vince Camuto's.
And for my sparkles, I chose my rhinestone button earrings from Forever 21 and an old sequin clutch I received as a gift a few years ago.
I definitely had a lot of fun with this challenge, I hope I did justice for Fearne's look!
