Weekly Secret Weapon: Convertibility

You all know how I love to re-invent things and make the most out of an outfit. Well, today's Secret Weapon is just about this.

Found an amazing shirt while in Hong Kong and had to share it with you all. This is totally something you can re-create though if you don't happen to make it to the Hong Kong airport anytime soon.

The cool thing about this top is that there are buttons and button holes all along the seams so that you can create a bunch of different looks. I love the vest option, buttoning at the top and draping over my arms. You can also wear it as a poncho this way as well.

Some other options are a reverse poncho, buttoning in the back. You can also wrap around your neck like a scarf. So many options and possibilities.

Here is the top in a lay down shot. Buttons are on opposite sides as well as button holes. I think this is key in making all of the different looks as well. Hope you all enjoyed and are inspired to sew on some buttons and play around!

Daily Fashion Show: Love is in the Air

Love is in the air my friends, and in more than 1 way. And what better way to celebrate than by expressing it with your clothing?! I chose to wear little heart details in my jewelry and accessories and my new cloud print dress in this special occasion.

The first little love story is that my cousin had her baby on Sunday so now we have a new little girl in the family. She is beautiful and I love her already! Second love story is one of my friends from work got engaged and I couldn't be more happy for her. The last love story, though minor, is my new sunglasses I bought myself in Vegas. Tiffany's....need I say more?

Here they are! I've wanted them for almost two years. They actually have little interchangeable charms for the sides. I chose the classic Tiffany's heart in blue. It also came with the letter "T" and then a simple diamond. My other favorite part of these is the case that it came with pictured above. It's like opening a box from Tiffany's everyday!

So much to be happy about lately, I'm so lucky to be surrounded by love!

Weekly Secret Weapon: Spray it Up

Ok, so maybe it's not a secret, but I'm giving you all a great tip this week. When you are going on vacation, expecially a place that is requiring of bikinis and short dresses, I highly recommend that you get a spray tan.

As many of you know, or if you don't know, you can tell by simply looking a picture of me, I am extremely fair skinned. I'm not into tanning and definitely not into risking my health for a glow. But when it got closer and closer to my trip to Vegas, I decided that I wanted to look hot and be tan.

I had gotten a spray tan before, however, the ones I got were in those rooms that you have to hold your breath in for what seems like forever. I had asked around the office and found a salon by me that did airbrush spray tanning. I was scared, but intrigued, so I decided to check it out.

I made my appointment and 40 mins. later, I was golden and beautiful, without having to do any damage to my skin. The next day, when I was able to shower, I revealed a fun and sexy glow. I didn't realize that being tan would make me feel more confident and beautiful, but it totally did. And if I have 1 piece of advice for all of you that have just as white of skin as me, get an airbrush spray tan before you vacation, you'll be glad you did!

Bonus-I was able to wear white shorts, something I would've never been able to do before. Wee!
