Daily Fashion Show: Material Girl

Got a little in touch with my inner Madonna this weekend and sported some fantastic fingerless gloves. Of course they are embellished with bows and made from lace. Made me feel a little bit rocker and of course, ultra-girly.

I also sported my new bag I got from the Hong Kong market. Of course not real Anna Sui, but the florals and bows got my attention. It's a great little spring bag.

I mixed my girl rock look with skinny jeans, my boots, and a sequined vest. All about the balances! Now, if only I decided to wear my hair in it's natural way...80s style!

It's coming on so strong, the resurgence of the hippy! I'm actually thrilled about this trend. High-waists, flared legs, and muted out colors really work for me...hehe...but they can work for you too! While browsing this week, I found some really fun interpretations of this trend. Favorites here are the dress from Mod Cloth, the head jewelry, and the moccasins. Hope you all enjoy. Peace out fashionistas!

Weekly Secret Weapon: Sock Heights

So maybe I'm being a little optimistic here about the weather, but hey, it's getting warm (well, on some days) so that means it's time to start wearing different sock heights. All through winter you wear your knee-highs and over-the-knees, both to stay warm and to accessorize your dresses and skirts on days that your tights just aren't cutting it. But now, it's time to start exploring the world of ankle socks!

I found these adorable ones on a mini shopping spree. I just love the little hedgehog print. It's so spring-y and FUN! Plus, the colors go perfectly with my ensemble and add a little but of quirk to it.

Oh, and I wanted to show off my new sweater the boy got for me for my birthday. Oh, he knows me so well. Give me flowers and Anthro any day! It's super fuzzy and helps give this outfit texture.

So wherever you are, no matter what weather's going on, I highly suggests you start wearing some ankle socks. It's a great way to shake things up, and help add a little color or character around your ankles.

Daily Fashion Show: Smell the Roses

Hope you're all having a lovely Valentine's Day/Week. I say that since, as I'm sure you all know, my birthday falls on the same day as the beloved holiday so we tend to spread out the love over a week. How fun, right?

I decided to be super floral today with a new dress and flower accessories. My favorite are the arm warmers, so feminine and fun! Also love getting to wear these shoes, makes me feel glamorous!

This dress has a vintage feel so naturally I was drawn to it. I actually got it at Nordstroms. I always get a little scared shopping at department stores, there are just too many areas and I'm always worried I'm in the wrong one. But I definitely struck gold the day I found this! The dress dept. seriously looked like a garden, so many flowers everywhere!

Anyway, keep on celebrating my fashionistas. Even if you don't get a two-for-one like me, the holiday fell on a Monday so celebrating both weekends is totally up for interpretation!

Hit List: Lovey Dovey

I didn't think it would be right not giving you guys a Hit List that was all about love this week. I really scoured the internet, searching for items that were truly unique. Some items are specifically Valentine's Day and something you would probably only wear for the beloved holiday, or at least the month of February. But others, are very special, with just a hit of love. My favorites include the Juicy handbag with little heart cut-outs, the heart cut-out shoes (LOVE!), and the love potion tee. Ok, I heart them all....

Daily Fashion Show: All You Need is Love

Happy Valentine's Day all and also, Happy Birthday to me :) Today's post is all about LOVE!

Got the coolest ring pack in Hong Kong. Each ring is separate and has a letter on it. I like wearing it in this combo, two letters on each finger. Can also be worn with 1 letter on each finger, but it's a little more challenging and slightly annoying to wear.

Also played up the floral theme today with a beaded cardigan and floral printed dress. To top it off, I sported a skinny stretch belt with a rose closure. It's the little details that count, right?

Sparkle tights and a feathered barrette helped to feel ultra-girly, while my rocker boots balanced the whole ensemble out. I love the clash of the two looks.

Hope everyone's day is filled with love, sweets, and lots of kisses!

Daily Fashion Show: Bubble-licious

Got in touch with my new, favorite necklace by wearing contrasting circle patterns. Or, as I like to call them, bubbles for Gemo!

What was most fun about this ensemble are my red tights. Really pop against the purple and grey but goes wonderfully with my jewelry. Plus, it's getting closer and closer to V-day, who's excited?

Close-up of the contrasting patterns. I seriously love this skirt. The textured fabric is amazing.

Although nearly all of my pieces today are from stores I rarely shop at (see below for listing), put together make a great ensemble. Just goes to show, you always gotta mix it up!

Weekly Secret Weapon: Get In Touch With Your Wild Side

I realize it's been two weeks since I've done a Secret Weapon, but hey, I was just saving it for this amazing post! Haha...anyway, this week, I want to focus on getting in touch with your wild side. Animal print never goes out of style, especially if it's leopard or zebra. And, I have 1 more amazing find from Hong Kong to show, perfect for the occasion.

Critters have been taking over fashion by storm this year getting themselves into our cold weather hats, gloves, and even scarves. But now, they are even invading our clothing in the cutest way. This hoodie I found in Hong Kong has it all: ears, pom poms, bows, soft leopard plush, and even a tail!

One of the things I love about it most is that it's unique and can't be found anywhere around here, at least for the next 6-12 months!

Here's a great view of my ears and bow and of course, my tail!

So don't be afraid to get in touch with your wild side fashionistas, because animal is not going anywhere.

Hit List: Pretty Pretty Peacock

If I've learned one thing while working in fashion is that animal never goes out of style. Yes, you have your leopard and zebra, but I couldn't help but notice a TON of peacock printed and feather embellished accessories this week while searching for trends. I don't think there's a dress on here that I don't like, but my favorite would have to be the Modcloth one. Also the necklaces, so beautiful huh? As titles in this post, you couldn't not feel oh so pretty in any of these amazing pieces!

1. Peacock Dress: Modcloth $52.99
2. Light Feather Dress- Misguided £16.99
3. Feather Neacklace- Matthew Williamson $675
4. Peacock Necklace- Ruche $16.99
5. Light Feather Wrap- Jane Norman £28.00
6. Abstract Dress- Trina Turk $114.80

Daily Fashion Show: Girl Power

Decided to blow out this crazy blizzard weather today with girl power! Wore my rocker boots, skinny pants, and best of all, my ultra-girlie bag. I loved all of the details going on here, chains, stones, pink, black, elbow sleeves, and clunky boots. Everything just seemed to clash and go together at the same time.

Since it was Feb 1st (when I wore this) I took out my Juicy bag (so aptly named my February bag) from it's protective bag and braved it in the cold. I just couldn't pass up it's ultra-girl band details today with my ensemble. But my favorite accessory in this ensemble? My rhinestone head phone necklace!

This was by far the coolest thing I bought in Hong Kong. I found this jewelry store that was just filled with ultra-sparkly, 1 of a kind pieces in it and couldn't pass this one up. I mean, have you ever seen anything like this?

Hope you're all enjoying the little preview I'm giving you of the blizzard we got (through my blinds of course). It was the craziest thing I've ever seen. So glad to be indoors and safe, watching bad TV with my love!

Ok, enough babbling, I'm going back to rocking out....
