Cool Site

I was making a trend board at work yesterday and was having a little trouble finding pictures until I was referred to this site that I think is so cool-- Polyvore. There is a search bar that you can basically type anything into and then sort by color, designer, and various other categories. The boards themselves are great as they give you price, designer, and website information once you scroll over the item. You can even click on the shop bar and find direct links to buy featured items. I'm so glad I was referred to this site as I will be visiting it daily! My favorite part of the site is that you can create your own trend boards too! Here is one I thought was hilarious, though I do think I could give Blair a run for her money.

Pink Belt

Got this adorable pink belt digging through samples at work. Here are a couple of outfits I put together with it.
Of course I was trying to be all diva and Eleanor had to be in the shot in just enough time for my timer on my camera to catch.

The zebra striped bow tie is another sample I swiped from work.

Love the patterned tights from Urban.. They have an Incan motif, almost like a Henna tattoo. The lace and swirls on the tights gave the outfit a bit of texture.

My sister made me laugh...Happy Monday all!

Outfits of Last week

Haven't done an outfit blog in awhile...I was saving up some pictures over the past week. Enjoy!

I was inspired by Jane's blog and found the only seafoam green shirt I could find. Oh and of course Eleanor had to be in both shots!

Seafoam green Tunic from Forever 21, Navy and white pinstripe skirt from Khol's, grey tights from Target.

Love the lace detail with gold lurex thread to give it a little shine. Also, here's a closeup of my Erin Gallagher turquoise necklace.
My friend's a I joked this weekend about how my bracelet looked a tad phallic. I think it was supposed to be leaves. Anyway, vintage from my Grandma.
These little shoes I swiped from a vacation at Disney World in "Japan." Don't get to wear them very often since they are silk so I picked a sunny, slightly warm day.

Love this belt I found on eBay from a boutique in Australia called Harah Designs. There website has a lot of really cute summer dresses and accessories right now so check it out!
I love how each heart on this belt has a different finish and color. It makes it more fun to turn around in circles and uncover each heart individually. The next picture shows each heart in their glory!

I loved the nautical feel of this cardigan from Urban. Blue flowered shirt from Forever 21.
Additional zipper accessory found! Loved the sweet/edgy juxtaposition of the rosette. From Urban.
This necklace is so old but I love the detail of the girl peering into her mirror. Kind of speaks to how I feel at the end of the day...

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Wednesday...

Ok so I finally convinced my boyfriend to let me take him shopping and we definitely shopped until we dropped! We made one last stop at H&M and he found these adorable socks with days of the week on them. After seeing these, I was determined to scour the Internet to find more accessories with a days of the week motif. Here's what I've found so far...

More socks. These are Betsey Johnson.
Here's a Hello Kitty watch I found on the Khols website. It's a little bit nostalgic to the watches you used to get free from Happy Meals. The Hello Kitty motif just adds to the what I like to call "little-kid vintage."
Embroidered snap clips by Chasing Fireflies found on polyvore.com.
More clips. These are Kate Spade.
And of course, underwear. You couldn't have days of the week without them! These were found on Marygreen.com and come with an adorable little satchel. Perfect for a gift! There are also a lot of other really cute and feminine panties on the site.
Last but not least, my favorite, the Juicy Couture underwear found on the Neiman Marcus website.
Still searching for some other men's accessories, since the only one I have on here are the socks from H&M. I was hoping to find some cufflinks. Also, I really wanted to find some earring studs. The search continues....

Tie- Dye

My newest and most favorite addition to the peace/love trend is tie-dye. I mean, who didn't love this pastime in 2nd grade, and now it's back, seeping itself into accessories. When I was out shopping this weekend, I saw this girl wearing tie-dye printed flip-flops. While I don't agree wearing flip-flops in 50 degree weather is a good idea, I absolutely loved the little print popping out around her toes. I saw these tie-dye Converse in the Delia's catalog this month and fell in love.

For more tie-dye, check out Moschino's Cheap and Chic runway collection for S/S 09. It is full of tie-dye and water color printed shoes, accessories, and apparel. Here is a snippet, the only image I could find.
