Another spring day posting and sadly, the last as it decided to snow this weekend. Ugh, why is IL so crazy?? Outfit actually worn on Thursday, before the craziness began...
Vintage sequin vest from my boyfriend's mom, dress from the Gap, and necklace from Etsy.
Oh I hope that it warms up again so I don't have to wear tights with my dresses (like in this ensemble).

Black and Brown...so what
This week has turned out to be spring inspired everyday this week and today was no different. I decied to wear my favorite belt/necklace/headwrap from JCrew, worn today as a necklace. I wore a brown under-tank with brown booties and my black skinny pants. I know it is said to be a fashion faux pas, but typically go against the grain anyway, and I think it looks quite nice--especially the purple lining folded over on my Blowfish booties.
Love that it's still light out when I get home from work.Makes the days so much nicer to have sun :)
Totally forgot it was St. Patrick's Day today (hence the no green). I did have on green underwear (not intentional) as well as Jade green nailpolish (also not intentional). Anyway, Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!!!

Pretty in Pink
Keeping up with the "spring has sprung" attitude, I have worn my brightest skirt in order to stay true to form. The skirt is actually quite old, from Bebe, back when I was in college.
This skirt is versatile in that the bow can be tied in the front, as well as the back. Today, I chose the back to feel girly....here's my twirl!
This paired with a basic black shirt and endless scarf from American Apparel, added interest to my ensemble, as well mimicked the loopy pattern on the skirt.
The shoes, which are also quite old (so old in fact the brand name is worn off on the inside) gave the outfit a bit of a vintage feel with the high ankle straps and chunky wedge heel.
Last but not least, I wore a big, bright butterfly headband splattered with colored rhinestones to add some sparkle to my day.

Spring is here...the clock says so
Yesterday marked Spring for me as we turned up the clocks and started getting more sunlight in the day. While today wasn't the prettiest of days, I decided to dress up and look springy with an oldie, but a goodie.
Dress is from Old Navy. The colors of the print are still a bit transitional so it didn't scream summer, but left me feel bright and cheery.
Spiced it up a bit with knee-high tights in purple and open-toed sandals by Libby Eldeman. Seriously can't wait until I can wear sandals without tights but until then....

Rocker Tuesday
Decided to wear my heavy-metal, hard core, rockin' headwrap today. This headwrap is no joke, it has pyramid studs and pointed studs that are actually screwed into the fabric.
I feel like a total badass wearing it and someone today even asked if I rode my bike in today. Haha!!
Unfortunately, this headwrap was a sample from work, but studding and metal detail is all over the marketplace whether it's on accessories, clothing, or jewelry made to rock.

Gorgeous Green
This weekend was my 1 year anniversary with my boyfriend. We spent the evening by going downtown and staying in a fancy hotel. So naturally, this would require a fancy dress! I found this beautiful green and floral dress at Anthropologie for half off!
Happy Anniversary my love. What an amazing year, I can't wait for more to come.
